Webinar details:

Adoptive cellular immunotherapy (ACT) represents an emerging and evolving therapeutic strategy for malignant and infectious disease. Arising from advances in immunology, transplant medicine, oncology, synthetic biology and gene therapy, ACT has emerged as a disruptive and promising solution for relapsed and refractory disease. Currently six chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies have been approved by the FDA with many more in development. However, despite clear evidence of potential against liquid malignancy, success against solid indications remains largely outstanding whilst risk from therapeutic toxicities highlight opportunity for improvement.  An introduction to cellular immunotherapy will consider how current research follows from landmark milestones in the field.
