NIBRT and CONCEPT participated in European Researchers’ Night this year with an event on Thursday the 26th of September. The event was aimed at adults and children alike and there were demonstrations with sweets and modelling clay, talks by our researchers and tours of the training facility. CONCEPT’s Gene and Cell Therapy Scientist, Julia Serna kicked off the research talks with her presentation entitled “Gene Therapy: Using Genes to Treat Disease”. Julia’s talk included an interactive game which helped explain the different effects of mutations on protein production.
