Dr. Jennifer Byrne

Associate Director of Research

Dr. Jennifer Byrne is the Associate Director of Research at NIBRT, where she leads the Research Office team in supporting the funded research activities, contracts, and infrastructure.

She has a BA in Human Genetics from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD from University College Dublin. She has extensive research experience in the fields of genetics, molecular biology, and immunology, having worked as a post-doctoral researcher in UCD and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She also has a background in science policy and funding, having served as an SFI Fellow in the Pre-Award team of Science Foundation Ireland. Jennifer joined NIBRT in April 2015 and has since been instrumental in advancing the research excellence and impact of the institute.
