Dr. Clair Gallagher

Infrastructure Manager at CONCEPT

Dr. Clair Gallagher is the CONCEPT Infrastructure Manager, at NIBRT. She has a MSc in Bioinformatics and a PhD in molecular biology from Cranfield University, UK, and specialises in research and development of emergent biotherapies including induced pluripotent stem cells.

During her research at the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology, Dublin City University, Clair collaborated with the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, developing stem cell therapies for ocular disorders. She also investigated the factors affecting biopharmaceutical expression and degradation in CHO cells with industry partners and managed the NICB flow cytometry core facility, providing customised cellular analysis for a range of applications. Clair joined NIBRT in 2022 to establish CONCEPT, supporting novel biotherapy research and driving the next phase of advanced therapy innovation.
