Jonathan Bones PhD MBA is a recognised leader in the field of biopharmaceutical characterisation. Specialising in the development and application of liquid phase separations coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry.

Jonathan’s Characterisation and Comparability Laboratory has become a go to for those seeking analytical assistance with the various challenges encountered in the development and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals, including advanced therapeutic medicinal products. Jonathan is also the Director of CONCEPT, the SFI funded core facility for early-stage development of biotherapies at NIBRT founded through receipt of Research Infrastructure funding from Science Foundation Ireland. CONCEPT is a core facility for early-stage biotherapy development. With advanced instrumentation and supports from IDA Ireland and NIBRT, Jonathan and CONCEPT aim to support research in this next wave of biotherapeutic innovation, enabling capabilities previously inaccessible to the broader research community.
